Din cronologia Banatului imperial (Anul 1728)

Abstract: The present paper FROM THE CHRONOLOGY OF THE IMPERIAL BANAT (1728) is a small part of the great research theme THE CRONOLOGY OF THE IMPERIAL BANAT (1716-1753). It aims to present the year, month, day and the events that happened then.
The Scientific Researcher I, dr. Ioan Hategan, proposed this theme several years ago, and since then we have started working on it, translating, analysing and putting together the information that we had obtained. Most of the information was in German and it was found in the work of Baróti Lajos (Ludwig Grün) published in the magazine of the museum in Banat, called Tőrténelmi és Régeszeti Ertésitő between 1893-1907.
To conclude with, we desire to create a complex work, and the documents which have been synthetized and summarised, to provide useful and accessible information to all the readers.

Scurt istoric al comunei Beba Veche

Abstract: The present paper entitled Short history of Beba Veche, tells the history of this village from the beginning until the 20th century. It is one of the oldest settlements in Banat and its origins date back to the 6th century B.C. When the Hungarians came, they named the place Óbéba which means Old Beba (Beba Veche). In 1330 the village is destroyed by the Ottomans and in 1385 the uninhabited territory belongs to the Telegdy family. By 1779 here are brought approximately 300 Swabian colonisers families, but at the same time here come also Romanians and Hungarians. In 1924 Beba Veche officially becomes part of Romania, and shorty after here was built the Triplex Confinium monument, exactly where the three frontiers intersect. Today the commune of Beba Veche is composed of three villages: Beba Veche, Cherestur and Pordeanu.
